Despite the threat of rain, and and possible thunderstorms, today this afternoon turned dry and there was hints of blue sky.
It seemed a good time to shuffle the car and trailers around on the drive.
The logistics:
Move all the stuff around the trailers.
Park the Scout up the road.
Use the Octavia to tow the open trailer out the drive and up the road, then reverse it down the road and park it.
Back the Scout int he drive and tow the box trailer out and up the road, and park it.
Sweep the driveway.
Unhitch and drive the Octavia and drive it forwards up the drive to the car port.
Reverse the box trailer back up the drive with the Scout and uncouple.
Couple the Scout to the open trailer, take it up the road and reverse it into the drive.
Put everything back around the trailers.
There was more to it then that. Issues like Sunday is supposed to be quiet on the road outside but it wasn’t, removing the jockey wheel and dropping the nose of the box trailer to the ground so that the open trailer can park over the top of it, and strapping a trug over the end of a scrap trailer axle that protrudes from the front of the open trailer.
Then there is all the tidying up.
There isn’t a lot of space to work in but once I can move Dad’s mobility scooter elsewhere that will help. Also a bit more tidying up and maybe a trip to the tip if it can be organised.
There is a little space behind the car too, allowing access to the box trailer to store some of the removed parts.
But, things are tight.
